a problem you encountered and how you solved or managed it
Last Sunday, I was reluctantly trudging to the supermarket to run an errand for my mother. She had instructed me to help her buy the groceries. After picking all the daily necessities, I made my way to the counter to make payment. As my turn drew near, I reached into my pocket to take out my wallet. I was dumbstruck when I realised that my wallet was missing. I vividly remembered that I brought it along with me when I left the house. I was devastated. It was not only the money lost but also my wallet. The wallet was my prized possession as it was from my uncle who bought it from Australia. The wallet was made from kangaroo hide and it cost an arm and a leg. I tried not to let such horrible thoughts plague my mind. "Maybe I left it at home," I reasoned. I wanted to place the groceries back, but the cashier had already scanned the items and was waiting for my payment. I was in a dilemma. What was I going to tell the cashier? He had already scanned the items so I could not place them back, but I did not have any money to pay! The long queue behind me signalled that I did not have time to think about what to do. Frantically, I searched my pockets in one last desperate attempt. When I felt the hole, it dawned upon me that I had dropped it. I was prepared to search high and low, every nook and cranny for my wallet, but when I looked down, I spotted it. Hastily, I picked it up and paid the money. "How lucky. Lady Luck is smiling on me after all!" I sighed. I was saved from humiliation. That day would forever be etched in my mind, as the day I encountered a problem that I managed. I have learnt to be more careful in future and take care of my belongings. Approximately 420 words
